Built-in breakfast banquette for summer home. Bar Harbor, ME.
Although furniture is my passion, with a background in cabinetry and renovations, most interior projects are manageable. Here, the home owner asked if I would build a wrap around banquette in the current style of the home in place of the very small and barely usable space created by a counter bar and peninsula. After cutting the counter down to just the size of the kitchen cabinets, a frame was built for maple bench seats and trim around the bead board back. A piece of curly maple was used to create a backsplash and tie the whole kitchen, which already had some sections of maple butcher block counter, together. Please contact if you are interested in any interior work in your home, and we will set up an appointment to see what we can do. |
